Autel EVO Series Lightweight Drone Camera Comparison: Nano+ vs Lite+

Since the release of Autel EVO, we have had countless drone enthusiasts affirm this. With their encouragement and support, the flight control system and image transmission system of the Autel evo series of drones have been updated with the firmware. Stable output and better performance.

The most popular EVO series of Autel drones are the Nano+ and Lite+ drones. Let us take a look at the specs of these two powerful drones.

Nano or Lite, Which is Right For You?

Autel's EVO Lite and Nano series are the latest in Autel's line of consumer camera drones. Both are compact folding-arm quadcopters with powerful cameras, best-in-class time-of-flight and short film options, allowing you to easily capture helicopter-quality photos and videos.

But which one is right for you? Read on as we compare several aspects to find the best drone for you.

Light and Ultra Light Drone

The EVO Lite+ weighs 820 grams, and the EVO Nano+ is even lighter at 249 grams. In the US, this weight is below the FAA's minimum weight requirements for recreational drones, making the Nano+ the easiest mini-drone to legally fly, as is the EVO Nano.

Both the Lite and Nano series feature obstacle avoidance sensors on the front, rear and belly to avoid collisions in flight. The Lite has an obstacle-avoidance field of view of up to 150 degrees for maximum coverage with the least number of sensors. The Nano series is one of the few drones that can add three-way obstacle avoidance to a 249g drone. Before the launch of the DJI mini3 pro, the Autel EVO Nano Plus was the first choice.

Fly with Ease with the Sky App

Continuing our conversation, both the Nano and Lite series can be easily flown via the Autel Sky app. Download the app to your smartphone, pair it with the stick-style remote that came with the drone, and you're ready to fly.

After the flight, the Sky App also offers a range of video editing options, including editing templates in Movie Master, or recording voice and ambient sounds from your smartphone while flying in Sound Record mode.

Plus, download photos and videos at 160Mbps via the Sky App after in-flight recording.

Movie Mode with the Autel Drone

If you're a movie lover, both the Nano and Lite series come pre-programmed with a number of movie modes that make photos and videos a breeze. They are all capable of circumnavigating, zooming out, flying over and lifting off for helicopter shots. Both also feature Dynamic Tracking 2.0, which allows the drone to lock onto and track moving objects.

Orbit: The drone will take dramatic positioning shots around the specified point.

Fade out: The drone flies backwards, zooming out of you and showing the area around you.

Flick: The drone does a flyover at a designated location, like an airplane flying overhead.

Rocket: The drone goes straight up for an ever-expanding top-down view.

Rotate (Lite only): The drone pans in a circle for a 360-degree panorama.
