After received the EVO Lite drone about a month, I am writing this review of the EVO Lite and EVO Lite plus drones. Several months have passed since the Autel EVO Lite release date, and with constant firmware updates, is the Autel EVO Lite series worth buying?
Autel EVO Lite QuickSpecs
The Autel EVO Lite is a mid-to-high-end drone designed to compete with the DJI Mavic Air 2 and Mavic Air 2S. The price of Autel EVO Lite is slightly lower than the cost of DJI Mavic 2 Pro and similar specifications, and the difference in camera performance and flight parameters is very small, filling the gap in the high-performance and low-cost drone market.

Advantage
Powerful features of the EVO Lite include a 1/1.28-inch CMOS 50 MP sensor and 4K HDR video. The world's first 4-axis gimbal allows the camera sensor to be rotated to take portrait mode photos, providing greater shooting flexibility for mobile short video content creators.
EVO Lite provides RYYB color sensor, equipped with moonlight algorithm, and the shooting performance in low light conditions is also excellent.
Using the Autel Sky app, EVO Lite supports image transmission up to 12km. When the flight is less than 1km, the transmission is performed at 2.7k/30fps, and when the flight exceeds 1km, the transmission is performed at 1080p/30fps.
Autel EVO Lite can achieve three-way obstacle avoidance, namely front, rear, and down. It uses 6 obstacle avoidance sensors to identify obstacles with a maximum 150° wide angle and achieve precise automatic avoidance.
Shortcoming
After the EVO Lite was released at ces 2022, drone enthusiasts rushed to buy it, resulting in a serious shortage. The Autel EVO Lite is currently only available for pre-order.

Shortcoming
Autel can produce very pleasing color-rich video images that are crisp, well-exposed, sharp and punchy, with zoom-in support and 10-bit color for photos, while video is currently limited to 8-bit. The picture profile will be updated in the future, but it's unclear if an equivalent D-Log will be included.
What EVO Lite Has In Common
Both the Autel EVO Lite+ and EVO Lite are controlled using the Autel Sky app, and in addition to standard video, there are some automatic quick shots—fade, flick, orbit, and rocket—as well as hyper-lapse, panorama, and shallow depth-of-field portrait modes. Supports the ISO 100-6400 range, and has a strong ability to let in light in low-light environments.
The smart controller is easy to use, and the Sky app offers multiple flight modes, including Smooth, Standard and Ludicrous. The latter achieves a top speed of 42 miles per hour, which is fun for drone pilots to fly in Ludicrous mode.
