What is Autel EVO NEST?

EVO NEST is an automatic drone charging station that allows industrial drones to land, take off and perform continuous missions without human intervention.

What is the difference between Autel EVO NEST 2021 and Autel EVO NEST 2023?

The functions of Autel EVO NEST 2023 and Autel EVO NEST 2021 are similar. Autel EVO NEST 2021 is only suitable for Autel EVO II V2 drones (EVO II series, EVO II RTK series and EVO II Enterprise series) and has been discontinued, Autel EVO NEST 2023 is suitable for Autel EVO II V3 drones (EVO II series V3, EVO II RTK Series and EVO II Enterprise Series) and Autel MAX 4T.

How to upgrade the firmware and app of EVO NEST?

Firmware upgrade

1. Prepare the monitor, HDMI cable, mouse and USB docking station.

2. Connect the dock to the dock's USB port, plug the mouse cable into the dock, connect one end of the HDMI cable to the monitor, and the other end to the dock's HDMI port.

3. Open the browser and visit the official website of Autel Robotics to download the latest version of the firmware upgrade package.

Application upgrade

How to ensure that the drone lands back to EVO NEST accurately?

1. Before flying, please make sure the GPS signal is good. (Number of satellites displayed: at least 15)

2. If the GPS signal does not meet the requirements, please find an open space to place EVO NEST, then test at least 10 flights, mark the take-off point and land the drone, and ensure that the average moving distance between the landing point and the take-off point is 10 cm within.

How to use Autel SkyCommand Center to remotely control the drone in EVO NEST?

If you want to fly manually, you can find available bird nests on the map through the aircraft nest list, and then click the one-key take-off icon on the aircraft nest drone on the map. This will allow you to remotely control the drone in the background of the command center flight.

How to send tasks to EVO NEST using Autel SkyCommand Center?

1. Log in to the organization account, enter the task management interface, click "New Task", and edit the task name, device type, and task type. After editing, click "Configure Task" to enter the configuration interface.

2. Add waypoints and routes, and configure corresponding parameters. After the parameter configuration is complete, click "Save" to return to the task management interface.

3. Click "Submit Task", select the execution object as nesting, execution type (immediate execution/scheduled execution), cycle, start time and validity period in the pop-up window, and finally click "OK" to send the application task.

4. Use the user name and password created by the command center to log in to the APP to view the system tasks issued by the command center. Click the task card to enter the task details page, and click the takeoff button to start the task.

How to connect EVO NEST to Autel SkyCommand hub?

1. Log in to Autel SkyCommand Center and enter the device management page. You can choose to add drones or aircraft nests, and enter the device name, serial number, and team in the pop-up window. After entering the serial number, the device model will be displayed according to the automatic matching result.

2. When adding a nest for the first time, enter a name and serial number. After the nested model is automatically recognized, a password input box will appear. Enter a 6-digit passcode for Nest authentication. The password can be changed.

3. When using the nest app for the first time, a nest verification pop-up window will appear. You need to enter the service address and the corresponding 6-digit password; when the bird's nest is added in the device management and the power is turned on, the bird's nest will appear on the map interface.

What should be paid attention to when using EVO NEST for flight missions?

1. Make sure the drone is placed in the middle of the charging pad.

2. Carefully check whether the connection between the power supply and the network is correct.

3. Verify that no one is standing within 6 feet of the EVO NEST.

How to choose the location of EVO NEST?

1. Please choose an open place, such as an open space, a roof, etc.

2. Please choose a place with good GPS signal (number of satellites displayed: at least 15) and weak electromagnetic interference. Before site selection, drones can be used to test the GPS signal and electromagnetic environment.

How to install the drone on the charging stand?

1. The charging stand has 4 arm fixing clips. The two shorter clips are marked E and the taller clip is marked F. The E clip is for the rear arm and the F clip is for the forearm.

2. After fixing the arm, install the drone battery to the drone, and connect the data cable under the battery power button to the tripod.
