Autel Robotics' Dragonfish Lite and Pro drones are available in the US
The Autel Robotics Dragonfish Lite and Pro drones are now available in the U.S., joining the Dragonfish standard to give drone pilots more options and options.
The rugged Dragonfish drone is capable of vertical take-off and landing (VTOL), simultaneous multi-rotor and winged flight, and has an endurance of up to 180 minutes. They are suitable for specialized applications such as energy, mining, defense and surveillance. The maximum winged flight speed is 30 m/s (108 km/h, 67 mph) and the maximum video transmission distance is 30 km (18.6 mi) with base station.
Latest news: The Dragonfish Lite has been discontinued (December 2024). Related payloads DG-Z2 / DG-T3 / DG-T3H have entered their retirement cycle, with official service ending on December 20, 2026. -- Updated December 2025.
Other currently available Autel drone series on sale include the EVO Lite, EVO II Pro, and EVO Nano series, which are often used for personal use or small commercial use, such as travel photography, person follow-up, scene overview, and more.
Flight features of the Dragonfish drone
According to manufacturer Autel Robotics, the point-and-click user interface of the one-button take-off and landing function, as well as other smart autonomous features, make the Dragonfish easy for anyone to operate. In the event of a loss of GPS signal, loss of operator communications, or low battery power, the aircraft can make an informed decision whether to land or return to base.
If adverse conditions cause fixed-wing flight to stall or become unsustainable, the Dragonfish tilt-rotor system will automatically transition to multi-rotor mode. The Dragonfish battery, barometer, positioning system, compass and inertial measurement unit all have backup modules to ensure flight safety.

Dragonfish UAV Flight and Carrying
All Dragonfish drones are constructed from tough carbon fiber and fiberglass composite materials for excellent IP43 wind and weather resistance. Despite their robust construction, these aircraft are designed to be easily disassembled to save space. It can be assembled in three minutes without tools. Once disassembled, the Dragonfish fits into the rear of any car or SUV.
The larger Dragonfish Pro offers the longest flight time in the series, with a payload of 180 minutes and a 6,000 m (19,685 ft) flight ceiling, making it suitable for applications such as covert long-endurance surveillance and wide-area mapping. The maximum payload is 2.5 kg.
Compact and lightweight, the Dragonfish Lite weighs only 4.5 kg (including two batteries), has a 1,600-mm wingspan, can carry a 1-kg payload, can reach a service ceiling of 4,000 m, and has a flight endurance of 75 minutes .
Dragonfish Standard is already available. Dragonfish Lite and Dragonfish Pro will be available in the US starting in April.
Dragonfish firmware released
The Autel Dragonfish series is paired with the Autel Dragonfish Ground Control Station, which features a 9.7-inch, 2048×1536 resolution, ultra-bright (1000 nits) LCD touchscreen. The Dragonfish Ground Control Station is also waterproof, dustproof, and splashproof, with a video transmission range of up to 30 kilometers (with antenna).
